The scholarship

We know that starting out in business isn’t always easy. The scholarship is an opportunity for those starting out in the events industry to gain access to the tools and network needed to elevate their business to the next level.

A complimentary experience

Participants who are awarded a scholarship have the entirety of their retreat fee waived. This means the accommodation, catering, and workshops are all covered by re:charge. The only fees the scholarship holders have to cover is their transport, and any additional 1:1 workshops they may like to undertake during their retreat.

  • Any wedding or event vendor who fits one of the following criteria is welcome to apply for a scholarship:

    • Vendors who have worked at fewer than ten weddings since launching their business

    • Vendors who booked fewer than three weddings in the previous season

    • Vendors who are facing unexpected financial hardship

  • The retreat fee is covered by the scholarship. This includes your accommodation, food, all complimentary activities, and a goodie bag. You will be responsible for funding your travel to the retreat site, and any additional 1:1 sessions you may want to book.

  • Applications are currently open for re:charge 2023. You can click here to access the application form. Applications will close on September 22, 2023, and applicants will be notified of their status on or before September 29, 2023.

  • Applicants can apply for the scholarship by filling out the form available here.

    The application covers basic information to ensure the applicant meets the eligibility requirements. It offers a space for a personal statement where applicants can share what they feel they could achieve by attending re:charge.

    Applicants who do not meet the scholarship criteria will be notified within five working days of their form submission.

    Those who meet the eligibility criteria will be notified that their application has entered the final stages within five working days of their form submission.

    Final-stage applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application on or before September 29, 2023.
